I was a little hesitant to spend ~$70 on a mechanical keyboard when I am not really a hardcore gamer. But I decided why not try it out. As my first mechanical keyboard I definitely like it much more than my janky old membrane keyboard. I love the red switches. The sensitivity of it is great and once I got used to it, my efficiency in typing has increased. The height of the keyboard is adjustable with two heights using the two legs at the back of the keyboard.I love the backlight of the keyboard. The only thing I would change about that part is that I wish the light underneath the black keys are brighter. For some reason the black keycaps are much less brighter. Especially the keys from F5 to F8. The light there is really dim. I have to look really close to see, even if I turn the keyboard light to max brightness.Another thing I would change is that I wish there were two backlight buttons. When I want to change the backlight I have to cycle through all of the options till I get to the one I want and if I accidentally click too fast, I have to cycle through all the options to get to my preferred backlight. The mac/windows function is good, but I have not yet used it because I don't own any mac computers.Another perk to using this keyboard is that if you have a phone with usb-c, you can plug this into your phone to type which is pretty awesome, since the cord is usb-c to usb-c (converted into usb-a to plug into computer).Overall, I would recommend this to someone who is getting into mechanical keyboards. This is hot-swappable, which is perfect for those who want to customize the keycaps or switch out the switches. I will start doing that once I save up. Quality keycaps and switches are not cheap haha. This keyboard is really great. I was debating between this and the GMMK, but when I saw that the GMMK had no removable cable in it's full sized variant, I had to choose the Keychron. With a puppy that's eating wires the easier it is to fix or replace a wire the better. It comes with a USB C to C cable with a USB C to A adapter so you can still use it in most ports. A keyboard like this doesn't need a dedicated Type C port, especially since they're still in the minority on most computers. The backlighting is nice, though a part of me wishes it was configurable through a program, but on the other end of the spectrum keeping its controls built in makes sure you don't ever need any bloatware. The standard keycaps are nice, but nothing special. Every key is nice and stable. The Gateron Blues are as expected as someone coming from a Blue clone, and the Milky Yellows (a nice quiet linear switch) I ordered separately fit in just as easily. As long as you're careful so as to not bend any pins (which is easy to fix). Sound from the board is nice to me, though some may consider it a bit plasticky. I personally would've preferred a built in arm rest for my palms, but the adjustment came easily enough, plus I'm not docking the keyboard for things it never claimed to have. The lack of a metal backplate does mean the keyboard has some flex but you really have to try to flex it in order to notice, there should be no perceivable wobble or anything when typing, even with some extra force.Overall, the keyboard may have convinced me to pick up another expensive hobby of messing with keyboards. May my wallet rest in peace.Did a decent bit of research, and this was the best value for quality. I'm a BIM manager/Drafter and after 3-4 months of regular use I came back for this review. Go to youtube to hear microswitch sounds, I got the blue switches. Clean design, white light is nice for working in the evening. The only downside is no print screen key out of the box, but I've just binded the snip tool to a key.I have a Keychron Q1 for my desktop, but needed something quality and unassuming for work. This fits the bill perfectly. It feels a bit heavy, and it feels pretty quality. I'm happy with it as a secondary work keyboard where I need the numpad.I also have a K2 V2 with Gateron Browns - the C2 is much nicer to type on for some reason.I got a new job and they gave me an e-waste level keyboard and mouse setup (cheapest budget Logitech desktop set available). Literally had difficulty typing accurately (and the mouse had no back buttons like we're back in the 90s!).I like my K2 so I decided to get a wired keyboard, brown switches are a good compromise of typing feel and quietness, so I ordered it with those. Not a fan of RGB so I just got white backlight. This thing is a joy to type on. Really, best keyboard I have used. Great value for a mech keyboard too.One gripe, when the sun hits the white keys, it washes out the backlight and they can be difficult to read. My guess is 99.999% of people buying mechanical keyboards can touch type, but it can be a pain when looking for special characters you may not have memorized.I paired it with the new Microsoft Intellimouse. I never should have gotten rid of my original back from the mid aughties, but the current one isn't bad. The best mechanical keyboard I've ever had.Very easy to use and having it with Gateron Red Switch make this keyboard perfect for daily use.I would recommend using this keyboard with Keychron palm rest for C2.Very nice keyboard not too loud but still nice and clicky. Big step up from the crappy Apple keyboards. Build quality is fantastic. Biggest thing for me is no more bluetooth connection issues and slow wake times as it has a lovely USB C cable. Overall highly recommended
