At the time of my writing this I've used the black keyboard with brown switches for two months now. What I like:-How compact the keyboard is-You get separate function keys and a delete key-Switches are replaceable and mine came with five replacement switchesWhat I don't like:-Metal spring noise while typing-Lighting is nothing to write home aboutOverall, I'd recommend it if you need a small budget keyboard with the function keys. However, I only paid about twenty dollars for it. At the current price of thirty, I find this keyboard to be much more of a harder sell. If I were spending thirty dollars, I'd consider spending a tick more and go for a tecware phantom or other keyboard.Hope this helps. I bought this keyboard with my own money and I'm not paid to write this review. Just my honest thoughts. Not the best by any means, but feels nice and is worth the budget if you just need a basic keyboard.Pros:cheapdurablelong-lastingCons:lights faded after a whileno RGB customizingReally only one good settingCheap keycapsThe layout is pretty good. All the keys in a small compact size.RGB is set and can't be changed, just like really cheap keyboards.I bought brown switches for the quiet tactile bump and click but these are probably the worst browns. Hard to press down and most of the keys are inconsistent in terms of sound and actuation pressure. Pretty cheaply made. The one thing that made me ultimately return is that none of my cables will fit. Not messing with that.I’m not really into keyboards a lot or have a lot of knowledge. I really like this keyboard. The option I got was a bit loud for me though. But I like the way it feels! The light is not a big deal for me, but I think it’s quite bright, that’s why I don’t really use it. If I do, I do on the lowest setting. But this is normal for me as I am sensitive to light (I always keep phone and pc brightness as low as possible).KEYS:Pro:I purchased the quietest, red switchess. They are about as quiet as my old, cheap Logitech keys.Con:However, they are also rather squishy and I find that the weight of my fingers alone while resting is enough to register a keypress without tactile feedback. I was still able to achieve almost 100 WPM using an online typing test, but the error rate was higher than normal. I will be returning the red switches in favor of the brown ones.FORM FACTOR:As the headline says, the small size helps keep my mouse arm in a more ergonomic and comfortable position - especially compared to my old Logitech keyboard w/ numpad. Check out the attached picture for the size comparison!!I was a bit worried about the "60%" size, but as mentioned above, I can type comfortably and achieve my usual 100WPM. I measured the keys, and they are 1/2" wide and 9/16" tall - the same as my standard size keyboard.QUALITY:This model uses a USB-C connector for the keyboard side of the cable and USB-A connector for the PC side of the cable. USB-C is meant to be plugged in any orientation, but unfortunately, my keyboard did not work when the USB-C cable was plugged in opposite of how it was plugged in at the factory. Minus 1-star for that. I'll rarely unplug it so it won't bother me, but I can see how it would bother people who might travel with this board.Pros: I really like this thing on the surface, it is super cute, has an excellent feel/build quality for the price. The outemu red switches are surprisingly decent, and the keycaps are nice. Even the spacebar is pretty stable and works well hitting it on the sides. I swapped a couple of switches for gaterons that I already had and it seems they are a slightly different height (maybe .5mm taller). But like I said I don't mind the cheaper outemu for a basic keyboard. They give you 5 spare switches so the hotswap is good if you manage to get dead switches. Honestly the hotswap feature is cool but you will double the price of the keyboard if you put in a few better switches. I got my keyboard for 21 bucks which is nuts. I do really wish they did a solid color for the backlight just for the esthetics, but if you hit FN + page down, it cycles through a bunch of modes and you can use ripple or turn off the backlight so that's cool.Cons: Huge issue if you want to use this for gaming (and the product title says gaming keyboard). I think the polling rate is 62.5hz. I was using it for osu and it wasn't working well. It was chord splitting on a 190 bpm song. I used an analyzer and it confirmed the low polling rate. Basically if you use this for gaming you are going to have a lot of input lag/inconsistency. I knew corners would be cut somewhere for this price, but still surprising to see 62.5hz. A polling rate like this is not good for gaming, and if you are playing rhythm games it's pretty much unusable. For reference 125hz is 'standard for USB', but good keyboards are usually 1000hz (including my Bloody B740A I got on amazon for only 35 bucks). Newer keyboards are pushing 4000 and 8000hz. If you are going the trouble of making a gaming mechanical keyboard it might as well be 1000hz or better. Honestly I am sad about this, I would have loved to swap some nice switches into this and mained it for a while, because I love the looks. If you are not playing competitive games, or mostly typing, you may never notice the polling rate. And if you don't think you'll notice this, it's a very nice keyboard in all other aspects. However, the more I think about it, the more I feel like that polling rate is an unforgivable sin. If it was 125-250, I give 3 stars, 500=4stars, and if it was 1000 it's 5 stars. It gets 2 stars for good looks and build quality for the money. This keyboard is great for both gaming, and doing work with. Comfortable, and the light up keys make the keyboard visually pleasing as well. Great product.
